    Bohmian Chaos in Multinodal Bound States.George Contopoulos & Athanasios C. Tzemos - 2022 - Foundations of Physics 52 (4):1-20.
We consider the Bohmian trajectories in a 2-d quantum harmonic oscillator with non commensurable frequencies whose wavefunction is of the form Ψ=aΨm1,n1+bΨm2,n2+cΨm3,n3\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$\Psi =a\Psi _{m_1,n_1}+b\Psi _{m_2,n_2}+c\Psi _{m_3,n_3}$$\end{document}. We first find the trajectories of the nodal points for different combinations of the quantum numbers m, n. Then we study, in detail, a case with relatively large quantum numbers and two equal m′s\documentclass[12pt]{minimal} \usepackage{amsmath} \usepackage{wasysym} \usepackage{amsfonts} \usepackage{amssymb} \usepackage{amsbsy} \usepackage{mathrsfs} \usepackage{upgreek} \setlength{\oddsidemargin}{-69pt} \begin{document}$$m's$$\end{document}. Characterization of the existence of semicontinuous weak utilities for binary relations.Athanasios Andrikopoulos - 2011 - Theory and Decision 70 (1):13-26.
We characterize the existence of semicontinuous weak utilities in a general framework, where the axioms of transitivity and acyclicity are relaxed to that of consistency in the sense of Suzumura (Economica 43:381–390, 1976). This kind of representations allow us to transfer the problem of the existence of the ${{\mathcal{G}}{\mathcal{O}}{\mathcal{C}}{\mathcal{H}}{\mathcal{A}}}$ set of a binary relation to the easier problem of getting maxima of a real function. Finally, we show that the maxima of these representations correspond to the different levels of satiation (...)

    Zu Anna Komnenes Alexias Buch XV 11, 5(82)-24(60) Reinsch-Kambylis.Athanasios Kambylis - 2004 - Byzantinische Zeitschrift 96 (1):169-192.

Deux décrets inédits de Larissa.Athanásios Tziafálias & Bruno Helly - 2004 - Bulletin de Correspondance Hellénique 128 (1):377-420.
Athanasios Tziafalias, Bruno Helly Two Unpublished Decrees from Larisa p. 377-420 Among the epigraphical documents found at Larisa in recent years, two of the city's decrees have a particular interest. The first, a proxenia decree for a Mytilinian, that can be dated to the earliest years of the 2nd c. BC, is in a dialect and reflects the relations that were established before the engagement of the Second Macedonian War and were renewed, for the admission of the Asclepieia of (...)

Linked Conservation Data: the Adoption and Use of Vocabularies in the Field of Heritage Conservation for Publishing Conservation Records as Linked Data.Kristen StJohn & Athanasios Velios - 2021 - Knowledge Organization 48 (4):282-290.
One of the fundamental roles of memory organisations is to safe-keep collections and this includes activities around their preservation and conservation. Conservators produce documentation records of their work to assist future interpretation of objects and to explain decision making for conservation. This documentation may exist as structured data or free text and in both cases they require vocabularies that can be understood widely in the domain. This paper describes a survey of conservation professionals which allowed us to compile the vocabularies (...)

Understanding Inflation and the Implications for Monetary Policy: A Phillips Curve Retrospective.Jeffrey C. Fuhrer, Yolanda K. Kodrzycki, Jane Sneddon Little & Giovanni P. Olivei (eds.) - 2009 - MIT Press.
In 1958, economist A. W. Phillips published an article describing what he observed to be the inverse relationship between inflation and unemployment; subsequently, the "Phillips curve" became a central concept in macroeconomic analysis and policymaking. But today's Phillips curve is not the same as the original one from fifty years ago; the economy, our understanding of price setting behavior, the determinants of inflation, and the role of monetary policy have evolved significantly since then. In this book, some of the top (...)

[Corpus Fontium Historiae Byzantinae. Series Berolinensis, 40/1-2.]. [REVIEW]Maria Tziatzi-Papagianni - 2003 - Byzantinische Zeitschrift 96 (2):764-774.

    - “«We engaged a Master of PhilIoannnes et Theodosios Zygomalas, Patriarchatus – Institutiones – Codices,”.Stavros Perentides & Georgios Steiris (eds.) - 2009 - Daedalus.
Main figures in Byzantium after the Byzantium were Ioannis Zygomalas (1498-1584) and his son and fellow Theodosius (1544-1607) who drew a spiritual path that left many and rich traces and presumptions. They served in the Patriarchate of Constantinople in key positions. There they taught the ancient Greek language and they copied and distributed manuscripts of works of ancient and byzantine writers. Their mailing correspondence with European scholars and travelers is well known. Thanks to that, the humanistic Europe met not only (...)

Neuroscientists are searching for the engram within the conceptual framework established by John Locke's theory of mind. This framework was elaborated before the development of information theory, before the development of information processing machines and the science of computation, before the discovery that molecules carry hereditary information, before the discovery of the codon code and the molecular machinery for editing the messages written in this code and translating it into transcription factors that mark abstract features of organic structure such as (...)

On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of C. S. Lewis’s death, a special annotated edition of his Christian classic, The Screwtape Letters, with notes and excerpts from his other works that help illuminate this diabolical masterpiece. Since its publication in 1942, The Screwtape Letters has sold millions of copies worldwide and is recognized as a milestone in the history of popular theology. A masterpiece of satire, it offers a sly and ironic portrayal of human life and foibles from the (...)

After the Holocaust: The Book of Job, Primo Levi, and the Path to Affliction.C. Fred Alford - 2009 - Cambridge University Press.
The Holocaust marks a decisive moment in modern suffering in which it becomes almost impossible to find meaning or redemption in the experience. In this study, C. Fred Alford offers a new and thoughtful examination of the experience of suffering. Moving from the Book of Job, an account of meaningful suffering in a God-drenched world, to the work of Primo Levi, who attempted to find meaning in the Holocaust through absolute clarity of insight, he concludes that neither strategy works well (...)
